Pop Art
Summary: The term pop art began during the 1950s. This type of art was used a lot in medias, advertising, comics and consumer products. 1950s was a period of time right after the war. Pop Art became a part of the image of fashionable 'swinging' London and it was known for being a less academic art. Pop Art also occured ith the youth and pop music in the 1950s and the '60s. For example, Peter Blake designed the album covers for Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Pop Art came in a lot of different ways but its supporters also shared interest in the urban, consumer, modern experience.
